The game that tests
who you really trust
Impostor is a free, browser-based social deduction party game inspired by classic hidden-role formats. One player is secretly the Impostor — they don't know the round's secret word. Everyone else tries to blend in while the Impostor tries to blend in too. At the end: a vote. One person goes.

How it started
Impostor was built because most social deduction games either cost money, require an app download, or are too complex to explain quickly to a group. We wanted something you could start in under 60 seconds from any device — phone, tablet, or laptop — with zero setup.
The game runs entirely in your browser. The backend handles rooms, rounds, words, and voting. The frontend is a fast Angular app. No login, no account, no friction — just a room code and your friends.
What we stand for
Built for groups
Impostor is designed for 3–20 players. Whether you're on a video call with friends, gathered around a table, or meeting strangers online — the game works.
Zero friction
No accounts, no downloads, no paywalls. Open a browser, create a room, share the code, and you're playing in under a minute.
Multilingual
The game is available in English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, and Portuguese, with more languages on the way.
Privacy first
We collect only what's needed to run your session — a display name and a session token. No tracking, no ads following you around, no data sold.
